Came here after a show at the nocturnal theater. Had some drinks and order a prime rib. Service was great. Prime rib came out great. It was loud in the restaurant but not over powering. Wife had a an issue with the coconut shrimp. She found 4/5 of the shrimp that were not cleaned. When we found one, we let the staff know more for a quality assurance side of it. When my wife found more, she was done eating and we let the staff know. The manager agree that it was unacceptable and made it right. They let us know that they come breaded already and he was going to reach out to their supplier and fix the issue. We have no complaints on how it was handled. Overall a great experience. Perfectly cooked meat. Delicious drinks. Great staff. Will come here again!

While staying in Glendale, I asked a long-time local, I met at the hotel, where was a good place to eat, and he recommended Damon's. It was a little walk from out hotel, but he said it would be well worth it. When we reached the establishment, I thought it was closed because it had no lights on the exterior. Luckily my son tried the door! Greeted by a waiter upon entrance and he told us to keep walking to check-in with the hostess who was located near the bar area. We didn't have a reservation, but were able to get seated right away (at 5:00 on a Saturday night). This place is an old-school steak house. Our server (Preston) said they've been in business for 85 years. Obviously a place that has been in business this long must be doing something right. We ordered the calamari appetizer, Hot chicken sandwich, cheeseburger, and full rack of ribs. All of the food was excellent! I prefer less sauce on my ribs (or even given on the side), but that was the only concern. The drinks we had (Mai Tai, Shaken Old Fashioned, Dole Pineapple Whip, and Trader Vic's 1944) all were outstanding and had a kick! Twice mashed potato, Cole slaw, salads, and soup of the day were also all great. Our waiter was awesome and I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area, even if you have to drive a ways to get here. Well worth the stop.

Always passed by this place and it always looked run down from the outside but once you go in, it's a pretty nice restaurant. I was able to get a table for 9 people the day before Thanksgiving easily. The waitress was very attentive, patient, and helpful. The drinks here were really good. Lot of tropical drinks if you love those types of drinks. I got the beef stroganoff and it tasted awesome. Though it's a weekly rotating special so it's not available every week. Prices were very reasonable for what you get. Don't let the outside deter you from enjoying this gem.

I've been going to Damon's for over 30 years now. We used to call it "cheap meat" because the prices were so reasonable back then. That's in the past now, but it's still worth it. I recently had the steak with fried shrimp combo that was perfectly prepared. Paired with their twice-baked potato and classic house salad (I love one with julienned beets like theirs), it's just perfect. And the Grey Goose martini was equally perfect and very generous. They also have a decent hamburger, and if you land there on chicken-fried steak night, lucky you. You can't beat the tiki bar ambience or the cordial service either. Now if they would just bring back the Damon's calendar they discontinued during the pandemic. My refrigerator still has a blank spot where I put one every year!

Parking: Limited paid street parking available, but there is a paid parking lot behind the restaurant Ambience: Fairly large restaurant with a tiki theme and bar area Service: Friendly, no complaints! We came here for Father's Day and what appeared to be the manager wished us a happy father's day :) Taste: Got the mango-papaya chicken salad, Damon's brisket & pork combo platter, prime rib, and Kona coffee frozen mudd pie, all of which were decently good in my eyes. I really appreciated the size of the side salad as it was surprisingly larger than the actual salad we ordered and could've easily fed 5 people. My parents thought everything was great, and it made for a lovely Father's Day!

Tiki Bars have become cool again, but Damon's has been a local institution in Glendale since 1937. With its laid-back atmosphere and unpretentious vibes, it's a suitable place to chill and relax while having a cocktail. The Polynesian themed tiki décor and Hawaiian murals are lively and fun. If you are looking for a good hearty meal, they have that too. I used to frequent Damon's back in the day to imbibe on signature libations because they were strong and cheap. A $5 Mai Tai. Yes, please! The prices have increased but their cocktails still pack a punch. I stopped in with a friend for Happy Hour, which includes Damon's Famous Mai Tai & wells. The place looked different than I remembered but, then again, it's hard to remember much after a few tropical drinks. The music was good, the bartenders were cool, and our conversation was engaging & entertaining, which made for an enjoyable evening. *Metered parking in the back lot and the street.
